Ingredients

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

Follow each step in order. The directions below are written so a beginner can understand what to do, what to look for, and when to move on to the next step.

  1. Step 1.Gather two clean glasses, jars, or small serving bowls. Clear-sided glasses make the layers especially attractive, but any small serving container works as long as it is clean and food-safe.
  2. Step 2.Wash the berries gently under cool running water. Drain them well and pat them dry with a clean paper towel because excess water can make the yogurt layers watery. If using strawberries, remove the green tops.
  3. Step 3.Cut large strawberries or other large berries into bite-sized pieces. Leave small blueberries and raspberries whole so the finished parfait has a mixture of shapes and textures.
  4. Step 4.Spoon about half of the Greek yogurt into the bottom of the two containers. Divide it as evenly as possible, then gently spread it toward the sides so the first layer is easy to see through the glass.
  5. Step 5.Add about half of the berries over the yogurt. Arrange a few pieces against the glass if you want a visible fruit layer, then fill the center with the remaining berries.
  6. Step 6.Sprinkle half of the granola over the berries. Spread it across the surface rather than placing it in one pile, so each serving gets a balanced amount of crunchy granola.
  7. Step 7.Add the remaining Greek yogurt carefully over the granola. Spoon it into the center first and then spread it gently to the edges so the lower layers are not disturbed too much.
  8. Step 8.Finish with the remaining berries and granola. Keep some whole berries on top for a more attractive presentation and add the granola last if you want it to stay especially crisp.
  9. Step 9.Drizzle 1/2 tablespoon of honey over each parfait. If your honey is very thick, let the spoon sit in warm water for a moment so the honey flows more easily; do not use very hot water with a glass container that could crack.
  10. Step 10.Serve immediately for maximum granola crunch. If you need to chill the parfaits, cover them and refrigerate briefly, understanding that the granola will soften the longer it sits in the yogurt.
